Just upgraded to Macromedia Studio MX 2004. A few changes in how Dreamweaver applies styles. All done as styles and not separate font tags etc.
Just begun to look at Freehand and Flash – bit of a learning curve to climb here, but should be fun, so long as I don’t get too keen on putting flash on every site.
Fun day today! Just installing SQL Server 2000 on our new server. All we have to do then is migrate the database from Access, recode the VB front end, move all the queries to SQL views and redo all the links to other Access databases within the company…
Just made some changes to gracebaptist.org.uk. The fonts were looking strange in firebird, whilst IE looked fine. I’ve changed the fonts to absolute, rather than relative values. I know relative should be better, but until all the browsers render the relatives at the same size it is very hit and miss.
Got Kingdom Web Design listed in the christianweb.org.uk site. Wait and see if it brings anything my way.
Back to the grind today. SQL server training last week – almost incommunicado – no email, no phone for most of the day, but great fun playing with new software. Seems as if all my hosted sites are now on newer hardware. Should see reliability improved as well as performance
