I was so busy thinking about what to enter for the next round of Amateur Photographer of the Year 2009 that I wasn’t expecting to see the results for Round 4 just yet. But there it was, sitting on the shelf in the newsagents’ shop with the ‘AP09′ logo in the corner. I thumbed through, and there in 22nd place was my shot of Ainsdale Dunes! After missing the first two rounds I now have a grand total of 67 points, which is one point below 10th place on the overall leader board.
As I dropped Stuart off at work this morning the tide was right in, so I took a few photographs. I liked the slightly misty ethereal look of this one.
A few months ago someone suggested to me via Flickr that I create a book from some of my photographs of the Southport to Formby coastline.
Well, I’ve finally got around to doing it. It’s been published via Blurb and you can see a limited preview by clicking on the link below.
