Old Park Gospel Hall tonight. Talking about wars in the Bible, and the last enemy, death. 1 Corinthians 15 is such an exciting and encouraging look at the implications of the resurrection of Christ for the believer right through to the last trumpet!

Have to lead worship tomorrow in church – last minute request. The focus of worship is God, not us. All too often it is geared towards pleasing people, and not our Maker. Lord, give us worshipping hearts for tomorrow, and may the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in your sight, for you are our rock and our redeemer.

The beauty of blogs is that you can do them from anywhere – for example a wireless enabled Jornada 820 running Windows CE. It may not look pretty on the equivalent of IE 3, but it works!

Not one of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass. (Joshua 21:45) Israel had their fair share of war. In all of it God promised to give them victory, and not one promise failed! The only failure was on the part of Israel to fully obey God. So today it is only those who don’t fully obey who don’t fully obtain the promises of God. The state of the Christian Church today is a direct result of our sin, our failure – not God’s!
