Ever since I got my 10 stop ND filter I’ve been meaning to go back and photograph this sculpture that sits right at the end of Southport Pier. The wind was blowing so hard that I could barely keep the camera straight. I had to press the tripod down onto the pier for the duration of the 60 seconds it took to capture this image.

We love to visit this beautiful part of the Great British Coastline and take in the stunning scenery. This photo was taken just before sunset as the light was beginning to dip.
I’ve been out and about with my new long exposure filter (10 stops) and managed to catch the tide in at Ainsdale Beach. This is the result of a 60 second exposure just as the tide gently rolled in.
