Well, just outside Southport! This solitary house surrounded by wheat was just ripe for photographing (I know, it’s an awful pun…).

I saw spectacular skies over Southport last evening, but by the time I had grabbed my camera and got to the beach the sun was all but gone. This was one of the first pictures I took.

The tide appears to come in rarely on Southport beach. This is because the shallow gradient of the beach means that it goes from far out to high tide, and then back out again in a very short time. So, when I was passing and realised it was almost high tide, I grabbed my camera and took some shots. Unfortunately the high tide wasn’t that high, but, at least there is some water lapping around the pier supports.
