We took a couple of days up in the Lakes last week. The weather was miserable, just pre-spring damp and dismal. We decided to head up over Kirkstone Pass chasing a glimmer of sunlight in the distance. We never quite managed to catch up with the sun, but we did enjoy a bracing ‘walk’ at the head of the pass. This was the view of the road below.
