I took a walk down Formby Beach from Lifeboat Road yesterday. The light was a bit flat, but looking towards Liverpool, into the sun added a spark of contrast. I’ve uploaded a colour version of this to Flickr, but quite like this more contrasty monochrome treatment.

I was born in Northern Ireland and raised in the suburbs of Belfast just off the Saintfield Road, attended Cairnshill Primary School and Annadale Grammar School.
